2) The rate of change of the velocity as a function of time is acceleration when the cart was rolling freely. The algebraic sign represents whether the acceleration is positive or negative.
3) The relationship between the value of the slope and the elevation of the track was very apparent. If the line was flatter with less of a slope on the velocity graph, then the track had less of an elevation. Also, if the line was steep with a greater slope, then the track had a greater elevation.
